Sigh. I know  lot of people really wanted Blaine to sing All of Me so there’s a lot of excitement but I just can’t see it as anything other than yet another instance of Kurt’s Prince Charming Blaine romancing/winning over/chasing Kurt with their positions never being flipped. Didn’t Kurt recently say that he wanted them and their relationship to be entirely equal? The first and only thing Kurt has ever done for Blaine as the romancer was that time he brought Blaine flowers back in the second episode of season 3. As of Opening Night that was 59 episodes ago which means it happened closer to the pilot than it did to 5x15. Why doesn’t Blaine ever get to be swept off his feet or get a prince charming? Shouldn’t Ryan want to see Kurt take on that role? Blaine has been in over three full seasons worth of episodes but he is still just seen as Kurt’s boyfriend who’s just there to be boyfriendly to Kurt when it comes to Klaine. It’s still Kurt’s relationship more than it’s their relationship. That is a major problem.

It’s so heteronormative at this point it’s like they have an actual heteronormative agenda or something.  They have Kurt say things like “I’m not going to apologize for not being a fragile damsel in distress for you to rescue” or whatever the exact quote was.  But they frame everything in their romantic life as Kurt ALWAYS in the receiving role, the passive role, the being-wooed role, which is the female role in heteronormative messaging on a TV show.  It pisses me off.

Is it too soon for me to say Piece of My Heart is the funnest thing Glee has done in a long time?

For now I’m not worried about the context of Story of My Life in a serious way for Klaine because they didn’t change the female pronouns but I just don’t understand why as musical theatre students they would choose this song (or any other very recent pop song) as audition piece for an old woman who seems to have some sort of ties to nyada.

#Klaine

are story of my life and piece of my heart the only two clips that are out or are they the only ones on my dash because they’re the only ones with kurt and blaine?

I’m starting to think I might be right about what’s going to happen with Klaine in the finale. And if I’m right I’m sure they think it’s something the fans will love. And if I’m right it’s something I’m going to hate.

I actually wrote something about that but I deleted it because I couldn’t get it to come across as I wanted but you just said literally exactly what I was going for.
